Lauren has been part of CDS since she could walk! She is the youngest of the 3 Golding sisters in which CDS has had the privilege of teaching and now a part of the CDS staffing team. Lauren is trained in Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, musical theatre and hip hop as well as being extensively involved in the schools competition regime. Lauren has been teaching for 3 years, you'll see her bouncing with energy with our Petites and Tiny age groups.

I have been a teacher for 3 years now, I teach Jazz, Ballet, and contemporary

 

WHAT IS YOUR MOTIVATION AS A DANCE TEACHER?

100% my main source of motivation as a teacher is being able to watch my students up on stage at the concert and seeing the amazing work that has come out of the year!

 

FAVOURITE DANCE STYLE TO TEACH AND WHY?

I love all the styles of dance that I teach but I feel that in contemporary dance the music choices are so diverse that there is truly no limit to how you can interpret the music given to you.

 

WHAT DO YOU CARRY IN YOUR DANCE BAG?

I definitely carry more than I need in my dance bag. I have about 4 different pairs of jazz shoes in various colours, about every pair of point shoe I’ve ever had since I started 3 years ago. There is always a snack or 2 and about a million bobby pins and hair ties floating around in the bottom. :)
