Amber Shepherd
Amber began dancing at the age of 6. She has had the opportunity to learn from a wide range of choreographers in the ACT, NSW and Victoria. Amber loves being able to learn a variety of styles at CDS however, Contemporary would be her number 1. She is excited to be on the CDS teaching team this year and to share her passion for dance with others.
WHAT HAS DANCE TAUGHT YOU ABOUT LIFE?
Dance has taught me how to be work as team and share my passion with so many others. It has also taught me how to express myself and be an individual.
WHAT DO YOU CARRY IN YOUR DANCE BAG?
2. In my dance bag I always carry all of my different dance shoes, a water bottle and many Bobby pins.
WHAT IS YOUR MOTIVATION AS A DANCE TEACHER?
My biggest motivation as a dance teacher is giving the younger students the ability to do something that I am passionate about. As a child dance would be the place where I could be free and to allow another generation to do that motivates me to teach dance.
WHAT IS THE MOST CHALLENGING THING ABOUT DANCE?
For me the most challenging thing about dance is not being worried about what others think of me. Over the past few years I’ve learnt how to block others out and focus on being the best version of myself. 5. I would say my teaching style is passionate, open and energetic
